Dad's Just Just Wanna Juggle

Dad's Just Just Wanna Juggle is a public graph of things, plotted by how High they are and how Cool they are. The membership enters the verdicts. Anyone may watch.

The Premise

  • Most scoreboards make it look easy. We are here to dispel that myth.
  • A member suggests a thing.
  • The membership votes on where that thing belongs: High on the vertical, Cool on the horizontal.
  • The thing settles at the average of those votes and is entered into the record.
  • Every thing carries a comment thread. The graph is the scoreboard. The argument is the point.

The Unit

  • All measurements are given in Weses.
  • Wes Peden, the juggler, is fixed at one High and one Cool. He is the standard, at the perfect ratio.
  • A thing at half a Wes is half a Wes. A thing past one Wes has cleared the standard, and the standard has been notified.
  • Wes accepts no votes and does not move. A unit that moves is not a unit.

The Verdict

  • Every thing receives two readings, because one coordinate destroys the story.
  • Altitude is how high it stands overall, in Weses.
  • Balance is how far it leans off the true diagonal: tilted cool, Wes-shaped, or tilted high.
  • Together they make a sentence. Nought point six Weses, tilted cool.
  • When a verdict goes against you, nobody laughs and nobody groans. You gotta believe.

The Mistake

  • You may have noticed there is an extra just in the name.
  • An AI hallucinated it. We kept it.
  • We embrace the mistake. Partly to teach our kids that is how you grow. Mostly to survive.
  • Nothing here is corrected on the grounds of looking wrong.

Who May Take Part

  • Anyone may read. The graph, the verdicts and the argument are open to all, under nicknames.
  • Writing is by invitation. If you want to join the most expensive and mildly inconvenient club club on the planet, it all begins with the best thirty seconds of the rest of your life.
  • Suggesting, voting, commenting and naming the bands of the ladder are reserved to the membership.
  • A private club club with a public window.

The graph is under construction. The standard has been set. The arguing has not yet begun.
